Most traditional therapy asks you to talk about your problems and hope that insight alone creates change. But for many men, the issue isn't a lack of understanding. You already know something is off. The problem is that your nervous system, your body, and your deeply held patterns haven't caught up.

I use a blend of approaches that work on multiple levels: the body, the mind, and the parts of yourself you may have learned to suppress or ignore. Together, we work to help regulate and ground your nervous system, connect with wounded and protective parts that may be preventing you from living fully, and identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns.

01

Somatic Experiencing

A body-based approach to healing stress and trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine. It focuses on how experiences are held in the nervous system, not just in thoughts or memories.

By gently tuning into physical sensations, we can release stored stress and restore a sense of balance and safety. This is especially effective for men who feel chronically activated, shut down, or disconnected from their bodies.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

A therapy approach that helps you understand the different "parts" of yourself. The parts that protect you, judge you, or feel vulnerable. Think of it as an internal ecosystem where every part has a role and a reason for being there.

By getting to know and caring for these parts, you can reduce inner conflict, heal past wounds, and connect with your core, calm self. IFS is particularly powerful for men dealing with control patterns, anger, perfectionism, or emotional shutdown.

Mindfulness-Based CBT

A practical approach that helps you identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and replace them with healthier patterns. By understanding how your thoughts, feelings, and actions influence each other, you can reduce anxiety, improve mood, and develop more effective coping skills.

The mindfulness component adds a layer of present-moment awareness that prevents the cycle of rumination and overthinking many high-functioning men get trapped in.

Jungian Shadow Work

A therapeutic approach rooted in the work of Carl Jung that helps you explore the parts of yourself you may hide or avoid. The "shadow" is everything you've been conditioned to suppress: anger, vulnerability, desire, grief, power.

By recognizing and integrating these hidden aspects, you can reduce inner conflict and become more whole, authentic, and self-aware. Shadow work is essential for men who feel like they're performing a version of themselves rather than living as one.
